The National Space Agency has launched an unmanned Mars exploration mission this year.

Friday, April 24, is China's annual space day, and marks the 50th anniversary of the successful launch of China's first satellite, Dongfanghong-1, in 1970.

On this successful day The Chinese National Space Agency (CNSA) has announced that China is on a mission to explore Mars for the first time, named Tianwen-1, an unmanned survey that will occur this year.

China began to succeed in space with the launch of the first satellite. Dongfanghong-1 in 1970. Later in 2003, China made progress in space by sending 3 astronauts into space with their own rockets, being the third country in the world after the former Soviet Union and the United States.

Since then, China has been determined to compete in space with Russia and the United States with the goal of becoming a space power by 2030.
