I just recently switched from Internode to Netspace for one simple reason, cost. By all means i LOVED internode it was best speed excellent customer service and not to mention their games department but one thing they need to work on is their pricing or at least offer free pipe plans as that was the next best thing netspace offered to me.

I haven't actually had a Internode connection, but I think they try and focus more on the professional/business market where most other ISPs are more "mum and dad" focused.

Free Pipe is a very tricky one :) The data from the city POP to PIPE is next to "free" but getting the data from your exchange to the city would be the most expensive thing I would think. There use to be a lot of ISPs back in normal ADSL that did free PIPE.

As a quick note, to this day the largest amount of unique visitors I have had to this website is the day of and the day after the Internode price rises.

When I joined churned to Internode from Bigpond, Internode was pretty cheap and definitely a good deal compared with BP :) There were cheaper, "there were" being the operative word, as most of them have gone. I did my homework and Internode came out on tops overall (speed, service and satisfaction), I asked a family member (who worked for BP support) who he would recommend, and yep, you guessed it, Internode lol.

Anyhow, these days, IMO, Internode is like a gourmet restaurant, the food's great, the side's are tasty and the staff courteous. Just the plates are a little small for the price :)

I think the best thing about Bigpond would be the AFL video coverage.

They need to keep on top of things if they want to keep there customers. the 5 GB increase was good. Having to wait a month to change plans is not...

Bigpond are getting more competive but the worst thing they still have as a draw back is they count downloads aswell as uploads towards the monthly plan.

Indeed, double dipping is poor value. The sport/AFL content would be handy for some though.
