Howdy,

Does anyone have an ADSL2+ service via the LAKE exchange?

I'm moving to an address which is serviced by this exchange however the house I'm moving into hasn't had a line connected since 2005. No one knows what number it used to be and when I contacted Telstra I was told that ADSL2 may not be possible in that area.

The Telstra connection fee is $159 and I'd rather not pay it if I cant get ADSL2.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey yes I have ADSL2+ on the Lakemba exchange with iiNet. But Telstra was probably talking about distance from the exchange?

You might be able to get Open1 (ADSL1 8Mbps) which, in some cases is just as good as ADSL2+. That is, if ADSL2+ isn't available.
