Afternoon folks, Wondering if you good people can shed any light on my situation. I have so far attempted to setup ADSL 2+ with Dodo using the optus and telstra networks. The optus network setup failed due to "incompatible infrastructure". Setup on the telstra netowrk failed due to lack of ports despite information contradicting this found on this site. Could anyone comment on whether the infomation on this site is accurate and telstra are wrong, or if there are any other ISP's with ACTUAL free ADSL2+ ports at the New lambton exchange? It seems unusual to me to have had no luck when the adress and phone lookup functions on this site indicate that there is plenty of availability. Very much appreciate any input. Thanks, Matt. |

Telstra is going to be accurate, i work for an ISP, however i will not devulge which. Telstra releases a document once a week with port availability, ADSL/2/+ enabled exchanges ect. Which everyone is able to have a look at through there wholesaler site. However, as it is only released weekly, if the port has been taken in that week, then its too bad, try again next month. Also, it is not guarenteed to be accurate, and this is advised by telstra themselves. As the port may become available at the time they get the results, then the next second it could be taken, you really cant reley on it. My only advised, and i give this to all customers of ours, apply monthly, eventually you will get lucky. |
